Austrian wine has a long history dating back to the Celts and Romans. Powered by the mighty Danube River, the country’s wines developed through a combination of monastic orders, river trade access, agricultural breakthroughs and ‘a little scandalous activity.’ In this class, we will talk about the history, geography and important grapes of this country, tasting 4 still, dry wines that will give you a snapshot into this viticultural powerhouse. The class is on Monday, 02.22.21, and it will be taught over Zoom by Scott Ota, our General Manager and Beverage Director. Tickets are $60 for the class with the wines or just $10 for the class pass. We hope you’ll join us!
Because we are splitting these bottles into glasses, we are strongly encouraging a 48 hour or less pickup window so that the wines will be as fresh as possible. Normal business hours for pickup on Sunday or 12pm - 4pm on Monday.
The cutoff time to sign up for this class will be 4 pm on the day of class.
You will receive a link to register for this class on Zoom via e-mail after 4 pm on the day of class.
And a class pass with the wines contributes one hour to our nonprofit labor program. You get to choose your nonprofit at checkout.
